The Limerick program is a combination of Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects on a brownfield site that includes NGB2, CUP, logistics, and core infrastructure such as wastewater treatment and biomass systems. With a total $2 billion investment, the 500,000 ft² facility will produce biologic active ingredients for Alzheimer’s, diabetes, and obesity treatments. It is fully digital and highly automated, designed to operate with significantly lower energy and water use. Once complete, the site will support about 450 high-skill jobs and expand Ireland’s role in Lilly’s global biologics network.
